Install on an ISP

I'm fairly new to Sharepoint so please bear with me. I run a Sharepoint site hosted by an ISP. I would like to use the Forums web part but the ISP does not want to install anything from any source other than Microsoft.
So, as a user-administrator (I can update my site but can't get any higher and can't run .msi on the server) is there any way for me to install this web part myself?
Thanks

It can be installed manually by uploading the files yourself, however the web.config requires a custom policy to be added. It's possible but not easy. The only trouble is once you setup the new policy file, you need to reset IIS. If your host isn't willing to install anything from MS then they're probably not willing to reset IIS. The upside is you can install it and wait. Eventually they'll reset the server. Some do it on a regular basis (say every week) some will do it as part of some maintenance.
